The KUSNEUF × Chary play collaboration brings together the distinctive silhouette of Chary play's signature OCTO DRAWSTRING BEANIE with KUSNEUF's design philosophy and handcrafted techniques.
The three elongated ears of the OCTO DRAWSTRING BEANIE reminded KUSNEUF of a playful, adorable little devil.
This impression naturally connects with KUSNEUF's 2027 SS collection, which incorporates religious symbolism and meaning. The collaboration draws particular inspiration from the story of Lucifer, once a beautiful angel before his fall.
"Even a fallen angel once had wings."
The collection combines the distinctive silhouette of the OCTO DRAWSTRING BEANIE with KUSNEUF's hand stitching, distressing, patchwork, and crystal embellishments, resulting in four individual designs.
Each design features a detail on just one of the three ears, carefully positioned to remain visible at the front when the ears are tied together.
The hand-stitched designs feature distressed openings in the outer knit layer, revealing Japanese fabric individually treated and stamped by KUSNEUF. The fabric is inserted between the outer and inner knit layers and secured with hand stitching. Matching stitches are applied to one of the three ears, visually connecting the ear detail with the forehead patchwork.
The crystal-embellished designs feature a single row of crystal beads along one of the three ears. The forehead is finished with a patchwork detail made from Japanese fabric, printed with artwork representing KUSNEUF's symbolic number 17.
For KUSNEUF, the number 17 symbolizes the innocence and beauty of being seventeen, reflecting the playful and youthful spirit of this collaboration.
Each piece is individually finished by hand. Slight variations in stitching, distressing, stamping, crystal placement, and patchwork details may occur.
Handle embellished and hand-finished areas with care to avoid damage or detachment.
